I hand fabricate my silver and gemstone art jewelry using a wide variety of metalsmithing techniques, ranging from traditional to experimental. My pieces are rich with textures, patterns, and hand-drawn designs, telling stories with the juxtaposition of botanical references, artistic motifs, and gemstones with character. My more complex pieces might include hinged compartments, hidden details, kinetic elements, unusual clasps, or multiple ways to be worn. I love jewelry that does something “extra”, and I love to figure out the mechanics of how to include unexpected elements into my work, ensuring each piece is a pleasure to explore and wear.

Cicada Wing Necklace with Aquamarine.  Sterling silver, fine silver, and aquamarine.
I made this necklace by impressing a real cicada leaf into the silver, then wrapping it around a faceted aquamarine.

The design on this heavy fine silver cuff is an original drawing. Small water-cast lily pads and two gemstones (Montana sapphire and tanzanite) accent the scene.

The strawberry quartz is set to look like it is floating beside a curved bar with a faceted peridot at the bottom.

These earrings feature an elegant tile pattern with a gemstone in the center. Sterling lever back ear hooks keep them on securely.
